(Riyo Nemeth) Born in Tokyo, Riyo Nemeth completed a BA (Hons) Fine Art at Central Saint Martins. She lives and works in Tokyo, Japan. Using moving images and photography as her medium and often subject matter, she explores different perspectives through using the two mediums simultaneously. The viewing subjects which are often chosen from familiar sights are reconstructed into two dimensions, creating unfamiliar views in search of the differences between space, time and the tangibility within images. Her works have been shown in exhibitions including ‘internal / memory’ (Solo, 2021, LUMIX GINZA TOKYO), ‘IMA VISION’ (Group, 2018, IMA Gallery), ‘Rerun’ (Solo, 2017, Cale / Field Sewing Tokyo). In 2018, she participated in a group show ‘LUMIX MEETS BEYOND 2020’ which took place in Amsterdam, Paris and Tokyo.
(ネメス リヨ) 東京都生まれ、Central Saint Martins大学にてFine Art科を卒業。現在は東京を拠点に活動している。映像と写真を手法、題材として、二つのメディアを同時に行き来することで新たな視点を模索し、身近なものを被写体に映像の立体化を試みる。二次元上に映る時間や空間、物質性などの感覚や記憶のズレに焦点を当てながら制作を続けている。主な展覧会に、「internal / memory」（個展、2021年、LUMIX GINZA TOKYO）、「IMA VISION」（グループ展、2018年、IMA Gallery)、「Rerun」（個展、2017年、Cale / Field Sewing Tokyo）などがある。2018年に、アムステルダム、パリ、東京を巡回するグループ展「LUMIX MEETS BEYOND 2020」に参加。
